How To Lose Weight Fast

When it comes to weight loss, everyone has different goals. Some simply just want to lose weight to feel and look better, where as some others, mainly guys are looking to build muscular defined bodies. There are few things you should know before attempting to lose weight.

1) It shouldn’t be fast: Seriously. As much as you want to lose quickly for whatever reason, it isn’t safe to drastically lose a lot of weight over a short period of time. The only expectation to that is the first few pounds that you lose. Those tend to drop off very easily at the start as after that, the body naturally by Mother Nature’s will, keeps as much as fat as it possibly can for survival. So what have we learned? You shouldn’t lose weight too quickly, it isn’t safe for you! I will detail the simplest, most effective way for you to lose weight as quick as possible whilst still being safe in this article.

2) It’s a lifestyle not a diet: Diets don’t work. You can stop eating burgers and fries every day for a few months and drop a lot of weight, but once you start feasting at every McDonald’s you see, super-sizing everything, you’re simply just going to put the weight back on. To maintain weight loss, it has to be a lifestyle and not just a fad diet. (This doesn’t mean you have to cut out junk altogether, please read on)

The Topic Of Weight Loss Is Always A Tough One:

Forget about all the fad diets and insane workouts you heard about for now. Forget about the acia berry, or fast weight losshowever you spell it and forget about Crossfit, P90X and all the other training programs out there. Any program that has you training 6 days a week, 45 minutes per day and eating ‘nutritional’ yet mostly disgusting foods is definitely going to work. You will lose weight. You’ll probably be miserable too. Guess what? Once you’ve lost all the weight, you’ll probably end up putting it all back on if you make drastic changes over a short period of time! Going from not exercising at all to 6 days a week is insane.

There is a lot of information out there on the internet about weight loss and different people believe different things. It’s pretty much an area of much debate. There are some who believe in a calorie in vs calorie out notion, which simply means if you eat less than your body burns, your body has to burn your fat in order for you to survive. There are others that believe that it’s completely bullshit as a calorie is not just a calorie. For example, 500 calories worth of fried chips isn’t the same as 500 calories worth of vegetables. They have different effects on your body.

My Weight Loss Philosophy:

  • Don’t drink your calories: Everything I drink is generally calorie free and has very little amounts of sugar. To be fair, I drink mainly water and occasionally tea. (In case you didn’t know, water has no calories.) The video below will explain why you shouldn’t drink your calories!

2) I believe that having caloric deficits will lead to weight loss, but I also believe that a calorie is not just a calorie and thus by simply cutting and counting calories you will not lose weight. My caloric deficit is caused by eating healthy foods that have less calories. For example, instead of having chicken wings and pizza for lunch, I simply switch this out for chicken breast and vegetables. I eat a similar amount, but the calories are much less in chicken breast and vegetables.

3) I exercise regularly: I don’t do a P90X program or anything like that simply because I don’t have time to work out 6 days a week. I will explain how I exercise further down.

4) I get decent sleep: Each person is different, but according to my doctor, we should have at least 7-8 hours of sleep each day. I aim for 9, just to make sure my body is rested and my muscles have time to repair.

5) I make gradual changes: I switch my usual coffee from Starbucks to water as a change for 1 week and then I make another change the next week. Gradual, small changes are much more likely to remain.

6) I have planned cheat meals once in a while to stop cravings: Cheat meals, not cheat days. Not cheat holidays!

So, when this is all put in perspective: I have a caloric deficit through switching out unhealthy foods for healthy foods, not drinking my calories and through the exercise that I do. This way, I found my own way to address weight loss. Nothing out there is backed by enough scientific evidence for it to be deemed the best way to lose weight. Each person is different.

How You Can Start Your Weight Loss Journey And Make Sure You Succeed:

I’ve drawn your attention to the method I used to lose weight, but I’m sure you’re probably thinking, ‘But what you just told us isn’t definitive, we don’t know what exercises to do, what we can and can’t eat and other things! You’ve merely given us a theory that we can’t act upon!’ Okay, fine, let me give you what you want – That is, how can you act on all this? How can you actually start to lose weight?

There are 2 ways you can effectively do this:

Exact date unknown.information as you possibly can. The problem with this is, you can search all you want, but there’s hardly ever anything you can act on. What you tend to find is that, like I expressed earlier, everyone has different opinions and it’s pretty tough to decide who you want to believe. You can sign up to all the forums and blogs you want, but reading doesn’t make you lose weight. Action does.

Method 2: You can follow a program that has proven successful. Instead of you having to look on Google to find out what you can or can’t eat and then see hundreds off different opinions making it impossible for you to decide, you can follow a program that will literally give you a 90 day meal plan as well as a grocery list. No more trying to figure it all out yourself. Instead of you searching around trying to figure out if you should be doing long slow cardio which is good for the heart or HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) which is apparently better for weight loss, you can follow a program that has workout guides for you telling you exactly what you need to do.

Have you ever heard of the saying, ‘time is money’? Well it isn’t. Notice how only poor people say this! Money is abundant, limited only by how much our governments decide to print! Time on the other hand is limited. We all run out of time eventually. You can either spend your time rampaging through Google trying to find the relevant information or you can spend a little money and get exactly what you need.
